For thirty-two years, Dr. Binod Kumar Singh served the Republic of India in the Civil Services — from Kolkata and Delhi to Rajkot and Kutch. The story of Dr. Binod Kumar Singh runs along four quiet currents — letters, governance, politics, and grassroots service. Each was prepared by the next. Dr. Singh was born in Bishanpur village, Madhubani district, Bihar — into a family of patriots and farmers. His father, a famous freedom fighter, was honoured by the Government of India with the Tamra Patra for his role in the struggle for Independence.डॉ. सिंह का जन्म बिशनपुर गाँव, मधुबनी ज़िला, बिहार में हुआ — एक देशभक्त व किसान परिवार में। उनके पिता, एक प्रसिद्ध स्वतंत्रता सेनानी, को स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में उनकी भूमिका के लिए भारत सरकार ने ताम्र पत्र से सम्मानित किया।

That inheritance shaped a life.
